CURRENT NUMBERS
ACADEMIC LIBRARY
For the purpose of academic study, our School has an agreement with "Joe Buley Memorial Library" at the New Gracanica Monastery, and our students have full access to library's 8000+ titles for their academic studies, research, as well as spiritual reading. Library also subscribes to a variety of journals. We are also in process of connecting with libraries of other theological schools and seminaries in the area, which will greatly benefit our students and our School.
We are very grateful to the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary, for allowing us to connect with their theological library. Beginning October 1, 2022, all of our full-time students will have access to this amazing library.
STUDENT INFORMATION AND LEARNING SYSTEM
Beginning in January of 2023, we will be implementing a new Student Information and Learning System, Populi. We are currently in the process of organizing old and current student files and records before making the upgrade.
TRANSCRIPTS
To request an official transcript, for current students and for alumni, visit the Student Services part of the website and fill out an online form.
FACULTY AND STUDENT EXCHANGE
In March of 2022, a delegation from our School visited Holy Trinity Orthodox Monastery and Seminary in Jordanville, New York, of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. Among things discussed was a proposal of faculty and student exchange in the next academic year. So far, two of our own professors delivered guest lectures to monastic brotherhood and seminary students in Jordanville. We are excited for this to continue and grow. If you are interested in a possible one-semester exchange, please contact the Office of the Registrar.
CURRENT STATUS OF ACCREDITATION
St. Sava Serbian Orthodox School of Theology is licensed to operate and grant degrees by the State of Illinois and the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
In September of 2022, we began an official process of seeking full institutional and program accreditation with Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The entire process is expected to take several years, during which our School will undergo evaluations, self-reflection, changes, standardization, and most importantly: development and healthy growth.
We will be issuing regular updates on where we are in the process, what has been accomplished, and what the next steps are.
